Physician and medical practice reviews that patients post online will often determine the overall success and profitability of a practice.

Statistically over 70% of patients were influenced by reviews when selected a new physician. This number has increased drastically and continues to trend upward as more people (even seniors) are tech savvy and rely upon online reviews and online searches to find and select a physician.

Here are the 6 review sites that matter most to your practice.

1. Google

Google is by far the most popular search site and provides data to several critical sites and apps including Google Maps and Google searches. If you only focus on one review or listing site Google would be it. Not having a presence on Google or having a Google My Business page will hurt your practice.

To create or edit your listing on Google just visit the Google My Business site. If you aren’t sure how to set up your Google My Business site or aren’t even sure if you have one, Reputation Health provides free consultations to help you better understand Google and your online presence and reputation.

1. Healthgrades

Healthgrades is the top ranked healthcare specific review and directory site for doctors. The site allows patients a way to search and find healthcare providers by specialty, location and procedure. Physicians may claim or update a free profile by going to this link. It’s important for listings on Healthgrades to be populated with relevant information about their practice including a good photo, location information and keyword search terms.

Healthgrades also offers advertising options if you are looking to grow your practice. These options focus on driving new patients and increasing online engagement. To learn more from Healthgrades visit their contact us page

ZocDoc is a site that allows paitents to book appointments online instantly. The site features physician reviews, office locations and available appointment times. ZocDoc charges a fee to list your office that is currently approximately $300 a month depending on your state or area. If you are looking to grow your practice a paid listing on ZocDoc may be a good lead generator.
